hey...hands off my boulders!
First of all, this post is NOT about a recent co-ed ultimate frisbee game that got a little too competative. Although, that did happen! This post is to rant and complain about the miscreants who keep making off with our landscaping rocks! Now, I know not to leave my electronic equipment auspiciously in the front yard. I would never intentionally leave my mail in the mailbox or a package on my front door. But one might assume that a giant boulder, weighing several tons, that was carefully placed by heavy equipment between perinneals in the front yard would be safe. Apparently not. I might just be sleeping in my sleeping bag on the front porch with a baseball bat some time in the next month. That's all I'm saying!

14 years and I still like him...
When I started falling for Dave, it was never "I like him BUT....". It was more of, "I like him AND...". He is not only kind to me, he is a kind person. He not only takes care of me, he takes care of everyone. He is hilarious and sweet and affectionate and humble and loyal and fun and basically a good guy in every way. He works really hard and he is always thoughtful about how he can help or support me with the things on my plate. He is the most tender hearted Dad there could be. I could never ask for more in a husband. I think we are a good match, but I'm sure lots of girls with more to offer than me would have been lucky to catch this guy. I'm glad they didn't...sorry Cami.
This weekend we went up to this spot, where we went four wheeling on our first date. I don't have a pictures of that trip, but just picture Dave with a lot more hair and me with a lot higher waisted jeans.

happy 4th of July!!!
I am not so disillusioned as to believe that America is perfect. And I know there are many, many beautiful places in this world with much to offer. But, this time of year, I am so thankful that my children are HERE! That they have endless opportunity, relative safety, food on their plates and every reason to hope for an amazingly blessed life. And an opportunity to celebrate what an incredible country this is. God bless America!
